MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING
THERAPIST CREDENTIALS & THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES
The Therapists at Healing Wounds Healthcare (HWHC) have Master’s Degrees in the areas of mental health counseling, social work and/or marriage and family therapy. Our therapists are fully licensed and/or working towards FLDOH licensure. Our Therapists are trained in a variety of emotional healing approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Mindful-Based Stress Reduction, EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Play Therapy.
CUSTOMIZED PLANS
Customized Plans can include both therapy and coaching services.
Therapy is a more intensive form of treatment to help with psychological distress and, if there is a medical necessity to services, the cost of therapy is often covered by Behavioral Health Insurance plans.
Life coaching offers emotional support and skill-building in between sessions to help clients move towards their mental and emotional health goals. Life coaching is not covered by insurance plans.
Emotional Support Coaching

Our emotional support coaches offer personalized support for many of life's challenges and stressors. Whether it's helping an overwhelmed parent, a stressed-out college student, or a person who is grieving from death or divorce - they are there for you!
Each one of our emotional support coaches has lived experience, has overcome difficult obstacles, and has specialized training in crisis response and trauma care. Their passion is to come beside others and help them move towards a more fulfilled life.

Services & Rates
Payment is due at the time of service.
Authorized Payment Cards are required to be on file.
We accept all major credit cards & HSA cards. Cash is not accepted.
Therapy - In Person and Virtual Sessions are 50-55 minutes long.
$175 for the intake session and $150 for follow up therapy sessions
We bill insurances at the above rate unless we have been approved by your Insurance Company as contracted provider.
Note: Individual therapists may be contracted with insurance companies at different rates.
Self-Pay rate means you are NOT using Insurance.
Self-Pay reduced rates MAY be available upon request
(based on client need and Licensed & Registered Intern availability)
Free and/or Extremely Reduced Rates are offered by Graduate Student Interns
In Network (IN) Insurance
Our licensed therapists are either in-network contracted providers or in the process of getting credentialed with these insurance companies): Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna (Evernorth), Employee Health Network, United Healthcare (Optum), Medicare and VACCN. Registered Interns bill under the supervision of a Licensed Therapist.
Out of Network (OON) Insurance
If Healing Wounds Healthcare is not contracted with your insurance plan, our services are considered Out-of-Network (OON). This means we do not have a negotiated reimbursement agreement with your insurance company.
You have the following options:
Pay for services using our self-pay rates
Request a Superbill to submit to your insurance company for possible Out-of-Network reimbursement
Seek services from an in-network provider if you prefer to use your insurance's contracted benefits.
Please note that Out-of-Network reimbursement is determined solely by your insurance company and is not guaranteed. Clients are responsible for all charges regardless of any insurance reimbursement.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - In Person and Virtual Sessions are 45-minutes
We are contracted with Aetna, Cigna, Health Advocate, Optum
EAP authorization letter must be provided to our practice prior to services
EAP code, approved number of sessions and eligibility dates
Payment Authorization Cards are still required to be on file in case we have to bill for missed sessions.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counseling is intended to provide short-term, solution-focused counseling to address immediate concerns and assist clients in developing coping strategies.
EAP services are not designed to provide ongoing or long-term psychotherapy.
Emotional Support Coaching
Emotional Support Coaching is a wonderful addition to therapy.
It is offered by Coach Lori, virtually or by phone, for a rate of $30 for 30 minutes or $60 for 60 minutes.
Coaching is NOT “medical necessity” and is not covered by most health insurance plans
Cancellation and Missed Session Fees
Pease call or text your therapist at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Appointments canceled without 24 hours' notice are charged at the full self-pay session rate which is $125.
This enables your therapist to be paid for their assigned time. Exceptions are made in cases of emergency.
